PANAMA CITY BEACH — The Panama City Beach Police Department is investigating the real estate management company Oaseas Resorts for fraud, police officials said Thursday.
Police asked anyone wishing to file a complaint to visit the agency’s website at www.beachpolice.org, click on “press releases” then “Oaseas complaint form” and follow the instructions.
The form asks for the complainant’s name, date of birth, address, phone number and information regarding the properties rented from Oaseas. The police also are asking to provide them with any documentation regarding Oaseas, such as receipts or correspondence, authorities said in a news release.
The police would like to know where rented property was located, the dates the property was rented and whether the complainant is owed any money by Oaseas.
The real estate management company that handled more than 800 rental units announced its closing Wednesday. The company cited economic conditions and cash flow problems for the decision.
