We are Jeff and Lucinda Phillips and we are Blue Sun Properties. We launched Blue Sun Properties to manage vacation condos for ourselves and for anyone that is looking for an alternative to management groups that take too much of your income and provide very little service.
First, a little about us. We have been vacationing in Panama City Beach for close to 20 years now. We have grown to love the area and are really excited about all of the changes that are taking place. So, we understand the area from a vacationers point of view. Then, about 1 year ago, we purchased two condos on the beaches of Panama City Beach. One of them is at Calypso Resort and Towers, and the other one is at Aqua Beachside Resort. Both of them are within walking distance of Pier Park in Panama City Beach.
Both of these condos were being managed by third party management groups. One group was ok, but the housekeeping was terrible. The other group was just bad all around. Both groups took 30% of our gross rental income and offered very little in return. Both groups also found ways to nickel and dime us for every little issue that we thought should have been covered under the 30% commission. So, we understand Panama City Beach from a property owners point of view.
That’s when we decided to take matter into our own hands and launch Blue Sun Properties. Blue Sun Properties offers beach front rentals that we hope appeals to a wide group of renters and we offer condo management that we believe will appeal to the vast majority of vacation rental owners. We will provide free koozies and sunglass straps to each rental group in the hopes of branding our business and ensuring return vacationers. Return vacationers will hopefully result in greater revenue for our management customers. We will also be providing additional ammenities for our guests.
